The Heritage Shores Deadeyes held a rifle competition with the Woodbridge High School ROTC in the high school gymnasium. Using high powered BB guns they competed from three positions for firing – prone, kneeling and standing.

Barbara Hall Verbos, one of our clients who purchased a home at Heritage Shores in 2011, was one of the star performers in the contest. Barbara’s photo was the featured photo in the Seaford Star.

I think she looks like a natural. What do you think?

Last night we joined friends for a Cowboy Inspired Buffet and Live Entertainment provided by the Jr. Wilson Band at Heritage Shores. Linda Chick, one of our  Agents, and her husband Jack live at Heritage Shores after moving here from Maryland 9 months ago. They are accomplished “hand dancers”. It’s very similar to the West Coast Swing or the Shag (beach dancing) I discovered as Jack taught me a few steps. Debbie Shearer, another transplant from Maryland, and her husband Joe, also live at Heritage Shores. When Debbie finishes some  Delaware real estate training, she too will be joining Active Adults Realty.

We had a great time and I was really impressed with the band. These guys were good and their repertoire went from country to the Beatles. Take a look -

At the Easton Waterfowl Festival I enjoyed the Wine Tasting Tent! Tasted some wonderful local wines and picked up a brochure Chesapeake Wine Trailon the Chesapeake Wine Trail. If I am lucky enough to have a day free on a day as nice as yesterday, I know what I am going to do – ask Bill to drive and travel the Chesapeake Wine Trail.

I tasted some great wines from Dove Valley Winery and particularly liked the Pinot. They had a Holiday Barrel Tasting on December 3rd from 6 pm – 9 pm with Live Music. Sounds like a fun evening. I also enjoyed the wines offered by St. Michael’s Winery and look forward to a trip to see the vineyard.

New wineries are opening soon and I tasted some nice wines from Layton’s Chance Winery. Take a chance, find your designated driver and visit the wineries on the Chesapeake Wine Trail!
