A view of the golf course

View from the ClubhouseI arrived at the Heritage Shores Club a little early for an appointment and decided to sit outside on the Veranda and enjoy the view. I could see golfers in the distance but all I could hear was the quiet buzz of an early spring day. After just one year, the golf course has filled in and looks like a mature course. That is probably due to the mild winter we had with no hard freeze. Makes me wish I were waiting for a tee time instead of a business appointment!

Are you one of the many Baby Boomers thinking about retiring to Delaware? Every day another resident of New Jersey or New York, Pennsylvania or Maryland, Virginia or the District of Columbia makes plans to look at possible places to retire in Delaware. At the center of the Mid-Atlantic Region, Delaware has so much to offer as we begin to think about life over the age of 55.

One of the communities attracting lots of newcomers is Heritage Shores, an active adult community located in Bridgeville, Delaware, in the western part of Sussex County. It was the first of its kind in Delaware and the only one to be built around an 18-hole Championship golf course. This blog will cover the lifestyle and amenities at Heritage Shores. Stay tuned!
